CRÈME BRULEE LATTE
The sun is out and here to stay and here at Blue Cap HQ we could not be happier about this! Every year at Blue Cap Coffee the team enjoy creating a selection of summer drink recipes for you to try your hand at and bring a little bit of variety to your catering business, summer BBQ’s, weekends and summer socials. And we have to say we are pretty excited about these delicious drinks, which will tempt your taste buds all summer long.
First up it’s our mouth-watering Crème Brulee Latte; an indulgent twist on the classic French dessert, a little something to treat yourself with instead of your regular latte.
Why you need to try this recipe?
The French certainly know how to do delicious desserts, and this one is the original and best, dating all the way back to its first known reference in 1691 in a cookbook by Francois Massialot. The winning combination of a burnt crispy caramel topping and rich vanilla custard base is a sure-fire way to please a crowd. And the liquid version we have created does not disappoint!
How difficult is it to make?
Super easy!
What you need:
2 shots of Espresso coffee
Milk or dairy free alternative of your choice
French Vanilla Syrup
Caramel Syrup
Chocolate Dusting
Large Latte glass
Small coffee jug
Method
Extract a double shot of espresso into a small coffee jug.
Add 3 x pumps of vanilla syrup plus 3 x pumps of the caramel syrup into the coffee, still in the jug.
Heat the milk and pour into Latte glass stopping 1cm from the top.
Gently pour your crème brulee infused coffee into centre of latte milk
Dust Cocoa over the top and enjoy a luxurious latte in the sunshine!
